GET INVOLVED in theatre

Getting involved with community theatre is a great way to learn new skills, express your creativity, and enrich your social life. No matter your level of experience, we’d love to have you join our theatre family! Please note unless otherwise indicated, all opportunities with Theatre Huntsville are on a volunteer basis.

Interested in acting in one of our productions? The vast majority of our productions are cast through open auditions. You can find more detailed information about auditions here and be alerted to upcoming audition events by following us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and/or LinkedIn.

Actors and aspiring actors can also join the Theatre Huntsville family to remain apprised of other community acting opportunities through our Friends of Theatre Huntsville Facebook page. Our theatre family networks to find actors to work on projects such as film and community service acting gigs.

Getting involved on one of our crews is one of the best ways to connect with our theatre family. These jobs are absolutely essential and we encourage participation from both non-actors and actors alike. Assisting backstage can help actors improve their understanding of artistic vision and enhance performance skills. As the jobs are too innumerable to summarize here, please visit our Crew Position page to learn about various opportunities in technical theatre, and then fill out this form so our Production Manager can help match you with an avenue for participation. No experience is necessary! Community theatre is a learning opportunity for all involved.

We welcome all volunteers regardless of experience, skill, or level of commitment. Our general support personnel are a vitally important part of our theatre family and are very much appreciated. If our cast and crew opportunities aren’t right for you, consider contacting us to get involved with activities such as ushering, publicity, green room support, assisting with striking sets, or volunteering at the box office.
