Covid-19 Policy
UPDATE: March 29, 2023
While the Covid-19 virus seems to be transitioning from the pandemic to the endemic phase, we will remain vigilant against any health concerns that could affect our community. Please do not attend a performance if you are sick. We will be happy to exchange your tickets to another performance. Theatre Huntsville encourages patrons and volunteers to use masks if they have recently had a cold or other respiratory illness.
TH will continue to require our staff and production/front of house volunteers to be vaccinated.
UPDATE: March 18, 2022
Theatre Huntsville has changed its masking policy to Masks Preferred (as opposed to the prior policy of Masks Required), beginning with the performances of The Mousetrap. We encourage those who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing their masks.
Theatre Huntsville follows the guidelines provided by the CDC, so please check back for further updates as the situation may change.
________________________________________________________________
The health and safety of our Stakeholders is very important to us. Theatre Huntsville will follow the best recommendations of the CDC and AL Department of Health. Theatre Huntsville will also follow any regulations enacted by Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment and the Von Braun Center.
o Patrons, volunteers and staff will be required to wear masks when attending Theatre Huntsville performances. We request that you wear you mask in the lobby and theatre for the duration of the performance.
o Theatre Huntsville staff and contractors will be required to wear masks while on duty in any capacity.
o Volunteers will be required to wear a mask in any Theatre Huntsville facility, regardless of vaccination status. This includes auditions, meetings, rehearsals, performances (when not on stage), volunteer calls, ushers and box office personnel.
o Participants in a Theatre Huntsville production, both onstage and backstage, will be required to be vaccinated and provide proof of such prior to the first rehearsal.
o Any staff or volunteer that is exposed to Covid-19, regardless of vaccination status, should be tested. They should then quarantine for the recommended amount of time before returning to any Theatre Huntsville activity.
o Seating in the Studio Theatre will be reduced and spread out to accommodate social distancing. Seating will also be moved back from the stage to increase the distance from the actors. Concessions will be limited to prepackaged items only.
We apologize for the disruptions that these changes represent, and ask for your patience and understanding. We strive to honor our mission of bringing high-quality theatrical performances to our community while protecting the health and well-being of those who support us with creativity and patronage.
