We hold open auditions for every show, and no professional experience is required.

Whether you’re a seasoned performer or trying the stage for the first time, we’d love to see you at auditions.

As a nonprofit, Theatre Huntsville depends on generous support from donors, sponsors, and patrons who believe in the power of community theatre. Every donation helps fund productions, provide costumes and sets, and support local talent.

General Volunteer

You don’t need to sing, dance, or wield a hammer to make a difference. We always need friendly folks to help with front-of-house, ushering, concessions, marketing, special events, and more!

  • Absolutely! We have many opportunities behind the scenes.

    Here are just a few:

  • Not at all! Whether you’re a seasoned theatre pro or brand new to the stage, we have plenty of opportunities for all skill levels.

  • Yes! Volunteering at Theatre Huntsville is a great way to fulfill service hour requirements for schools, clubs, and organizations.

  • Yes! All of our performers are volunteers. Auditions are open to the community, and no prior experience is required. Check our upcoming auditions!

  • Not at all! You can volunteer for one work day, one production or multiple shows, depending on your availability.

  • Sign up for our volunteer newsletter or follow us on social media for the latest updates!

  • Some roles (like ushers) are great for teens, while tech crew and backstage work may require volunteers to be at least 16 or 18.
